Hi, my name is Giovanni! I'm a two year old Hound mix that came into the shelter as a stray. I'm energetic and happy, always on the go. I came in with an injury to my right front leg which has since been amputated. I am doing very well as a three legged dog and I'll be much more comfortable. While I was waiting for my surgery, I was not too fond of kids running up to me. It's hard to say if that was because I was in pain or if I was scared. If you have kids, bring them in to meet me so we can see how we all get along because I'm not so sure about them. I'm a sweet guy with adults, so consider adding me to your family! My adoption fee is waived. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies, spayed/neutered and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. If a puppy is too young, the adoptive person is responsible for the cost of spaying/neutering by the date designated in our adoption contract. CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society.
